IIRC this car series was the first 50foots equipped with Evans "DF-!" belt rails and cross bars. The cars were in "assigned" service to various shippers both online and offline. The assignments varied over time and the GST's office at 547 W Jackson put out a list by car number of what car was assigned to who. This was prior to computers and it was a mimeographed document sent by company mail or US mail to those concerned. The cars were stenciled "When empty return to Agent XYZ railroad at Hooterville Iowa" as example.
