Jim,
Next time you see Ray tell him I want to sit down with him for a couple hours. Also what you didn't mention was his years at the Aurora rdhse before he went off to Europe. He came back and decided to chuck his seniority and start over as a firemen.
Now wouldn't it be very, very convenient if you could bring him to the fair during your volunteer time !?

Recently there was a mention of an R. Moore who was a fireman from sometime in the 40's until 1955. I know Ray and see him every other week at the Fox Valley Breakfast Club breakfasts that we are both members of. In WWII Ray was a tail gunner on B17 heavy bombers. He flew 28 missions over Germany. The normal amount of missions was 25 before being rotated. Most crew members never made it to 25. Ray then became an engineer in 1955 until retirement. He is now in his 90's. He is a fantastic guy with a great sense of humor. Jim Davidson
