I've tried several different internet searches and come up empty handed. Take a
look at
eBay item 173432958539 which depicts a trio of Q locos on a postcard
advertising commutation brushes by National Brush Company. Could this be the
same National Brush Company located at 101 W Illinois Ave in Aurora,IL ?

The factory lasted well into the 1970s and was served by the CNW Aurora branch
from Geneva,IL(see my CNWHS 2010 article).

Leo
