The single bell horn in the 6458 shot is a post merger replacement for the original S-2.  The winterization hatch is likewise a BN addition.

​Here is a shot showing the S-2 on the short hood of SD9 6162 (Q 360).  The three bell S-3 on the long hood is a BN replacement .  The 23rd Street Viaduct, over the Q's engine facility of the same name, was a great place to shoot detail and roof shots before it was rebuilt to its current gentrified form.  Jim Sandrin
