The Q ran trips from St. Louis to Mexico, MO on the following dates:
October 14 & 15, 1961 with 4960 sponsored by the Illini RR Club
September 4, 1965 with 4960 sponsored by the St. Louis Chapter of the NRHS
They also ran one trip with 5632 from Kansas City to Bevier, MO on November 1,
1964. It was the last fan trip for 5632.
There were a number of trips out of St. Louis, but most were to Hannibal, MO.
However, they did go to Centralia, IL and Beardstown, IL, several times. Most
Kansas City trips went to St. Joseph and Cameron, MO, but there also were to
Leavenworth, KS. While I don’t have a record, there may have been a few
Choo-Choo specials operated in the Missouri area that could have used GM&O
tracks. Records of the Choo-Choo specials are difficult to find.
