Thread-topic: [CBQ] Boxcar Series Question

I don’t know anything about this photo, but here it is. The resolution is low, so I may have misread the road number, but it looks like 27289 to me.

Nelson-

It probably would help if you posted the photo so that it would help narrow down the choices.

Subject: [CBQ] Boxcar Series Question

I have a photo of a single-sheathed boxcar with a road number of CB&Q 27289. The car resembles class XM-28, but my records don’t show that number in the XM-28 series (25000-25499). The car has 4/4 stamped Dreadnaught ends, Hutchins flat panel roof, top hung wood door, and Andrews trucks. The running board latitudinal is supported on the side and end, rather than having both supports on the side. Can anyone shed some light as to what class this car represents?
