Group, Does anyone have any insight as to how the Chicago-Savannah-St. Paul RPO operated in the late 50s into the 60s? In some photos and consist lists of the westbound and eastbound Empire Builder, the Silver Post is shown as part of the consist. However, it appears that this was not an everyday occurrence. How was the mail handled then on days the RPO did not run on the Builder. Also, Thomas Strauss states in one of his GN books that the EB Seattle-St. Paul RPO started running through to Chicago in the early 60s, but I have not been able to find any photos or consists the support this.
