Pete - Thanks! Looks like some of the dispatchers offices I remember visiting with my Dad when I was a teenager nearly 60 years ago.  However, no one to date has recognized this person or office.  Best Regards - Louis

Sometimes the sound "amplifier" was a Prince Albert can...I recall seeing an article inTRAINS or some other like publication talking about the operation at Buda, IL.  This might be from that piece but the surroundings in this photo appear to be a bit too "modern" from the Buda article as I recall it.

Group - Can anyone identify the dispatcher or operator in the inserted/attached image as well as the location:

We can date this image to 1964 from the Burlington Route calendar hanging in the background. Otherwise, the rest of the background is too out-of-focus to read.

Note the Red Velvet Tobacco can placed over the telegraph sounder to amplify the sound, rule books on the shelves, the "push button" radio, plus  the manual type writer for issuing train orders. The machine at far right looks like a teletype with its roll of paper on top.

I also think the person is wearing an early model of an approved railroad wrist watch. Comments, anyone? Best Regards - Louis
