Brian:

Broken Bow was first platted in 1882, the B&MR reached there in 1884 and the town was incorporated in 1888, so maybe the date on the card, if it's handwritten, is wrong, as the float noting that the railroad is a pioneer TOO would lead one to think it was the 1882 start of the town that was being celebrated. The "new" depot was built in 1916, so it's not that.

A friend recently gave me this photos taken in Broken Bow. It is dated 1926 on the back. Anyone know what the cause for the celebration was. Not sure if it is related to the CB&Q or a town celebration.
