Just an update for everyone. Here is our planned schedule for the
following books.
Al Holck's The Burlington In Wyoming
We are trying to locate missing images for the book. Al's family is
searching his files. I am hopeful the book will be delivered to us in
December.
Joe Douda's The Burlington in South Dakota
Joe's book will closely follow Al's Wyoming book. Joe spent 45 years
researching the history of the Burlington Lines in South Dakota. Final
material is due from one source and the book will be done.
Next up will either be Archie Hayden's monumental tome The Burlington
Into Hannibal covering the CB&Q K-Line from St. Louis to Burlington or
Larry Wobith's Union Pacific wrecker book, whichever is ready first.
These books are all in process and planned for release before the end
of 2018. We hired a part-time graphic artist to help meet this schedule.
Our planned MOW/company equipment and gas-electric/motorcar books need
to be expanded upon. Regardless whether the additional expected
material is received or not, we plan to publish what we have and wind
down our publishing efforts in early 2019. I have some other things I
want to do.
