There was a photo on eBay of a CB&Q freight at Colona, IL in 1965. Photo can be found at: I checked the map and found Colona to be just east of the Quad Cities, so on the Savanna to Galesburg line. The consist of blackbird SD7 305 followed by a GP20 really caught my attention. Would this train probably be eastbound 80 or 88, or westbound 81 or 97? Or was there a wayfreight out of Galesburg or Savanna that would have served Colona? This looks to me more like a regular manifest freight consist than a wayfreight.
