Hello All - The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County (Illinois) is offering "Tales From the Rails and Caboose" on August 2nd, 6-8 p.m. "Hear about early railroad days around the fire with s'mores, and take a tour of the fully restored caboose. All ages; under 13 with adult. $5 per person. Register online or at 630-580-7025" The program is #11261 and the website is dupageforest.org This sounds like a fun evening. The "caboose" is CB&Q waycar 14351, which has been accurately restored and equipped. Entrance to St.James Farm is on Winfield Road, just north of Butterfield Road.
