Early this morning....it was long before daylight I woke up
with the thought that I hadn't made any mention in my weed spray story...(now
you know I've got too much time on my hands) as to how we got the spray car
turned around and back on the head end. There were no turning facilities
at Falls City
I thought about it for awhile while trying to go back to sleep when
suddenly the only possible solution occurred to me.
I guess what we must have done is set our train over and run around it
and get the waycar back on the rear end.
What hadn't occurred to me while previously thinking about the situation
was that we had sprayed the railroad between Table Rock and Falls City on the
way down...hence we didn't have to have the spray running on the way back to
Table Rock.
In light of the above I surmised that the thing we did was just to pull
the train in the same order it was..Spray car on the east (front) end. back
over to Table Rock..WHERE THERE IS A WYE.
Of course that's what we would have done...Pullled the train back to
Table Rock..run around the waycar and then headed on west to Wymore via the
north leg of the wye at Table Rock. Now everything is back in proper
order.
WOW...Glad I got that significant detail off my
mind...Hopefully I'll sleep much better tonight.
