As an aside relative to Leo's photo, I went to the Ingleside quarry several years ago to get some "actual C&S" limestone for my modeling efforts. I figured I couldn't be more accurate than loading my model gondolas with the real thing from the real source. Well, as it turns out, no. In photos and at the quarry, under the Colorado sun, the limestone is a bright white. In the artificially-illuminated confines of my basement, it is a muddy pink.
