If you are looking for the exact date be careful. I think the CB&Q stopped the last westbound #43 at Hemingford, NE (between Alliance and Crawford) when the train-off petition was granted and went into effect. Therefore that train never made it to Crawford on the "last day" that #43 departed Alliance. I don't know if the eastbound train #42 went thru Crawford before the petition was granted or not?
