The odd thing  that all the Heritage cars wear BNSF reporting marks, not those of the companies whose heralds they carry.  UP, on the other hand, has new cars carrying reporting marks of many of its absorbed companies, including CNW, CMO, MP CEI, CHTT and WP.

Simply as FYI,BNSF didn't do this just  totally for the rail fan community. By using the various logos and reporting marks BNSF keeps them under copyright. You can't use them w/o written permission and possibly a fee or revenue sharing arrangement.

BRHS Zephyr 73 has pictures of BNSF hoppers with CB&Q paint schemes.  Does anyone know whether BNSF has considered heritage paint for locomotives?  UP and others have done a nice job with diesel paint schemes of fallen flags.
