A good friend and ex-coworker is selling his complete model collection.
Atlthough it it primarily UP, I thought some of you might be interested in
what he is selling, or if you have freinds interested in the UP, you might

Good Afternoon Everyone,
As most of you are aware, I worked in the industry of Model Railroading
for many years, and I also pursued model trains as my hobby. From 2005 until
June of 2014, I worked for one of the DCC (Digital Command Control)
manufacturers. Since leaving that job, I have decided that I'm not only
leaving the industry, I'm also exiting the hobby.
I have an extensive collection of HO scale trains, as well as many books
and accessories. What I have is primarily Union Pacific from the Transition
Era (1945-1960). There are a few oddballs in the collection, but the
overwhelming majority of the collection represents this time period on the
UP.
My project was to build a multi-level layout, portraying the Union
Pacific/Southern Pacific interchange in Ogden, Utah during the 1950's and
the UP grade up the western slope of the Wahsatch. I have collected
everything I needed to completely finish this project, including
locomotives, rolling stock, track supplies, ballast, bridges, structures,
vehicles, etc. You name it, I probably have it. And now I don't want it.
Attached to this email are five different listings by category. The book
list and passenger car list are essentially complete, but I am still adding
to the lists for the locomotives, freight cars and structures. Not yet
listed are the roundhouses, turntables, stockyards, brass bridges, vehicles,
people, track, ballast, drawers full of photographs (including slides),
decals, paint, motors, gear sets, trucks, couplers, wheelsets, and thousands
of other items that go into building a large model railroad, but I am slowly
slogging through all this stuff, and it's ALL going to go!
Virtually all of my DCC equipment was sold last year to a model railroad
club that was looking to convert. I have kept one Command Station and a
throttle or two, along with a DC power pack, just so I can test-run
locomotives before I ship them off, but there isn't much else that's left of
the DCC equipment, sorry!
My sales terms are; I will accept credit cards, cash, or cashier's checks
drawn on a US bank. Unfortunately, I will not accept personal checks. The
purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. I prefer UPS, but
will ship via any other carrier if requested.
If anyone is interested, or if you know anyone who might be interested,
you may forward the lists and my contact info to them. I will issue updates
from time to time and if anyone wishes to see photos of certain items, I am
happy to take them and send them to you.
Just one last thing. A large number of you are former dealers and
customers of mine when I was your DCC Sales Rep, and you have reached out
and found me on social media or through mutual connections. I'd like to say
to all of you that I appreciate your loyalty and your friendship. When I
left my former DCC job, I learned very quickly who my real friends are, (and
who they aren't!), and I want you to know that I value your friendship. You
all know who you are, and I hope to see all of you when I'm touring in your
area! :)
