There is a great Lou Schmitz photo of the Galena Junction in Spoor V 2, p.79. I am searching for photos and some additional knowledge of this depot. Was there a baggage room at the end opposite of the Schmitz photo vantage point, behind the operators window? What year was the depot razed? Did it last past the merger? Does anyone have a plan or drawing of this depot? There was a fan trip over that section of the CB&Q on May 20, 1961 behind O-1A #4690. Maybe someone on that trip may have a recollection of the depot or better yet a few photos of other elevations of the depot.
