The depot is Livingston, MT on the NP.  Compare to this shot - the giveaway is/are the two light fixtures; the goose neck one close to the camera and the globes on the one in the background:

I first suspected NP when I saw the arched doorways on the coaches - they had cars like that, some of which ended up on the D&RGW ski train in later years.

Here's a horrible low res scan of the Alliance depot, but it's enough to show that it bears no resemblance to the depot in the photo.  The absence of the Alliance structure's long porte cochere alone is enough to disqualify it as Alliance.  And it can't be the old wooden depot which burned in November 1906, as the passenger cars are steel-sheathed wooden cars -- which also are definitely not Q.

Sure looks like Alliance.....That's the Special Agent"..leaning on the baggage truck and looking things over.

Wondering if anyone recognizes this depot.  The lady who owns the photo thought it was in Alliance, NE.  I don't think the Alliance depot had a peaked roof line.  I''m not even sure if it is a CB&Q structure.  She also has a photo of CB&Q 4104 and thought the photo may have been taken in Ellsworth, NE.  Was this locomotive ever assigned to western Nebraska?

Thanks,
Brian
