Are there any copies of this article online, or would one have to but a back issue copy of the mag?

Mike –

Have you checked out “A History of the CB&Q Quincy Branch” by R.W. Linroth?

It is a beautiful book (expensive, but well worth it)

Did you know that once you came down from Galesburg into Quincy you had your

choice of two routes north, two routes west, and two routes south?

If any of you have access to the short lived Trains Illustrated magazine (1988-1991), check out Vol 1 Issue 1 for an eight page black and white photo essay by Philip A Weibler on Quincy IL in the 50’s.

I stumbled across this while starting a long overdue sorting out of my collected magazines and soft cover RR books.  Who knows what else I might find down there, it’s like going thru Indiana Jone’s warehouse!

Thank you kindly,
