The number of the pile driver is 204600, making it the first in the 1904 numbers series.  Looks to be an early commercially manufactured machine rather than one put together by the railroad.

Group - We haven't had any Company Service Equipment posts in a while. Does any one have details on the attached image of the "baby" steam pile driver from, I'd guess, the early 1900s or just prior? Cute little critter..... That's a Class A 4-4-0 coupled to it with the engine crew at rest despite the banging and hissing coming from the pile driver. I can't quite make out the locomotive's road number on the tender nor the complete equipment number on the pile driver. Any ideas on what the donkey boiler in the foreground might've been used for? Best Regards - Louis
