Any photos of lumber district scenes you car to share for a future article on same would be appreciated. Have extensive track and building diagrams but not much in the way of photos.

Great find Rupert!  It's not uncommon to read of violence between two railroads under construction (right in Iowa, CB&Q affiliate B&W fighting M&StL going west from Washington, IA) but between switch crews is unique!  Back in mid-70's, I was railfanning the old Q trackage to the lumber yards and also to a large boat storage area.  An old timer told be that "in the day", CB&Q brought large boats on flat cars to/from the area (think yachts or the old Athearn flat car with a blue/white plastic boat load!)
