Great find Rupert! It's not uncommon to read of violence between two railroads under construction (right in Iowa, CB&Q affiliate B&W fighting M&StL going west from Washington, IA) but between switch crews is unique! Back in mid-70's, I was railfanning the old Q trackage to the lumber yards and also to a large boat storage area. An old timer told be that "in the day", CB&Q brought large boats on flat cars to/from the area (think yachts or the old Athearn flat car with a blue/white plastic boat load!)
