So we've identified many of these lakes that the Q developed. Maybe there's an article here for the 
Zephyr or Bulletin ? Might be interesting to learn where they all were,how large(cu  ft of water storage), dispositions,current uses,etc,etc. How the water got to the water plug,treatment,etc.
Old plat maps would show these lakes.

Anybody want to create the article ? My desk is already overflowing with future projects.

That Lake was called Crescent  Lake and was built in 1906.  The lake was sold to the Crescent Lake Club for $8,000 in 1959.  Also Lake Storey was named for the President of the Santa Fe at the time.
There were also lakes at Camp Point and Colchester.  Bud Linroth.
