I remember a report that the CB&Q took some snow out of Chicago. Also, my step-father mentioned that he saw cars loaded with snow heading west.

Boy, did I make a lot of money that winter. 80% of the residents on my block in Western Springs were old people and I was a 15 year old with a shovel. Now I'm approaching that status. :P

It was the 1st time in almost 100 years that Lyons Township High School closed.
