Understand there was an occasional interchange move with NS in Streator but that must also have ceased.

Just learned from someone who physically went and checked it out. The Qs former Fox River Branch mainline between Ottawa and Streator is currently being used to store idle sand covered hoppers. Many of them brand new right out of the mfg. plants.

I'm sure the current operator is enjoying the storage fees,but if history is any predictor(and it usually is) that's night a good sign for the future of the line.
