We rode the Denver Zephyr from Chicago to Denver down to the springs on occasion. there was some sort of connection they made in those days to get to the Springs. It was early June each summer we took the trip. 1963 through 65. In 92 I rode coast-to-coast on via rail in Canada.they were running the same equipment bought and 56 or 57 as a California and. Denver zephyrs. That brought back a lot of memories. No orange sticks though. What years were you on it?

I definitely remember the chocolate cover orange jelly sticks, served with the finger bowl at the end of the meal.  They came in a cellophane wrapper labelled California Zephyr, if they were served on the CZ, or Denver Zephyr, if served on the DZ.  As I recall, in later years I saw CZ ones on the DZ.
