Ken - I enjoyed reading about Q 719
now on display in Alliance. I've attached an image of the 4-6-0 type when
numbered 919 on the Sterling, NE, to Cheyenne, WY, branch. It
was powering a mixed freight at Alvan, WY, in July 1956. The locomotive
would've been age 53 and was still producing revenue ton miles for the Q.
Hopefully, funds can be raised to put a shelter over 719 to protect it

copy of this article on CB&Q 719 that was published in the Alliance, NE,
Times-Herald on April 14, 2015. I don't recall having seen it
