Some time ago, I believe, there was a thread in which someone was looking for a photo of the DG turntable. While going through some digital files, I came across this photo that I scanned at one time from, of all things, a Downers Grove National Bank calendar. I do not know who the photographer was. I think the photo was credited to the DG Historical Society, but on a visit there a couple of years ago, I don't recall seeing this photo. In any case here is the best view of the turntable that I have ever seen complete with pacific no. 2813 riding on the table. The man operating the table looks like he is waiting for the photographer to finish his task on a very cold day. A very tall microwave tower occupies this location, today. I believe that the house in the background to the right is still there. The location is just south of the intersection of Oakwood and Warren Ave.
