Other than the hoppers Hol mentioned I dont know of any freight painted orange. I wonder if you are thinking of the six boxcars painted gold to commemorate winning an award from RPI. By the time I saw one in the "70's it had faded to yellow and others MIGHT have taken on an orange hue. See Bulletin #7 for further information.
