If I remember correctly, when the F units went to pull the mike (?) out of the drift, the coupler broke. The Q called the couplers "cat catch". I think they had to bring in a bull dozier to dig out more around the drivers of the steam engine.
The snow in our back yard after the blizzard of 49 was level with the deep cut of the rr directly behind the house.
