Answering your question, the majority of the QO&KC was abandoned in 1939, and many of the towns it served are gone today.

Hol and Group - And that's got to be the rear end of a way car next to it. Note the cast iron fly wheel (might be a pump of some kind) loaded on the flat car at far right. Another interesting old image - Louis

Hol and Group - Quincy, Omaha & Kansas City No. 1304 ran a bell with me. Although I do not have an image of the locomotive nor any of its sisters, I do have an undated digital image of the Milan, MO, roundhouse that 1304 called home during the early 1900s. Here's the image both inserted and attached.
 
 
I can't read the numbers on the locomotive tenders inside the roundhouse, but I do not see any slope back tender meaning that 1304 might be working in the yard or elsewhere on the railroad. Does the BNSF still run through Milan, or was this line abandoned? I guess there's no trace today of the roundhouse - Louis
