Rich,

My Q truck chart (albeit incomplete) lists  CB&Q truck number 48-A, which are Andrews U-section 5 ft. 6 in. 50 ton trucks cast by ASF for FM-11A flat cars in the series 91250-91849. According to the Q 1930 Truck Diagram Book, Tahoe Model Works TMW-112/212 (depending on whether you want scale wheel width) USRA 50 ton Andrews trucks are the closest (and best rolling) commercial match for FM-11A. I didn’t go through the diagram book page by page looking for FM-11, and I think the FM-14 would have used trucks not included in the 1930 book.

Has anyone built the Sunshine FM-11 or Jerry Glow FM-14 resin kits?  If so, what did you do to add weight to the models.  It looks like you could cut up some lead weights and glue them underneath behind the sides.  Also, is there a commercial truck that is correct for these models?

Thanks,

Rich G.
