RE: [CBQ] C&S car #254

The 254 at the museum has the pre-1925 Colorado & Southern lettering on one side and the p0ost 1952 Burlington ribbon lettering style on the other.  It has been lettered that way for at least five years now.

John,

I don't know when the museum changed it. 

In 1925 the Burlington adopted a new paint scheme with the herald on the tenders and numbers on the cab. The C&S adapted the same lettering with Burlington on the letterboard and C&S on the cab and over the car number. This did not apply to the narrow gauge which kept the C&S to the end.

I assume the museum made the change to reflect a more local feel.
