Louis:

The 204375 was Lincoln's 250-ton derrick, not Galesburg's (which had 204376).  The 204370 joined the 204375 at Lincoln in the mid-1960s, dating this view to the latter half of the Sixties.

Hol - Here's an undated image of two derricks, the 204375 and 204370, both apparently assigned to Galesburg at the time:

There appears to be quite a bit of difference in the boom cars assigned to the 204375 and 204376. Best Regards - Louis

Looking more closely, the assignment stenciling on 204375 is in 3 lines and reads:

250 TON
GALESUBRG
DERRICK

This was done because at various times there was more than one derrick assigned to both Galesburg and Lincoln.

Actually, the lettering reads:

DANGER
KEEP OUTSIDE THE RADIUS
OF THIS MACHINE
WHEN IN OPERATION.

Attached are scans of all or part of images that appeared in BB No. 18 on wreckers, and they show the lettering pretty well.  The radius of the two hooks was also stenciled on the boom, though the 204375-204376 both only show the 41 ft. 0 in. radius of the main hook not the boom tip hook.  Stenciled weight is 376,000 pounds, and by the 1960s the derricks were stenciled with their assignment, the 204376 having GALESBURG DERRICK at the upper rear of the side sill, the word GALESBURG hidden in the shadow.  I'll probably send one of the scans in a second message, since Yahoo limits attachments to 10 MB.

Hope this helps.

FWIIW: Years ago End Cab Models sold the Athearn 250t crane in exactly this paintscheme, inclusive the warning:
                            DANGER
                keep outside the radius
                 of this machine when
                     it is in operation
(all in capitals). This confirms Scott’s interpretation  as we may assume that ECM had access to the original or solid
documentation.
