Corbin and Kerka's 'Steam Locomotives of the Burlington Route' has complete, system-wide lists of "locomotive and motor car assignments" for the years 1935 and 1952, but the information is aggregated at the Division level. If you're interested in the O'Neill branch in particular, Burlington Bulletin No. 27 covers the branch in some detail. Good news: it has a wealth of information on many aspects of infrastructure and operation and lots of photos. Bad news (for the modeler): Lotsa prairies. If I recall correctly, the 400 series SD7s, which had half the usual number of gas tanks on each side, were assigned (and perhaps ordered) to serve that branch, which had light rails. Jonathan
