Hello Hol and group.  I do not believe this is Clinton and the tracks they we serviced our engines on in 1971 were remote and the CNW and Milw-Dri line mains ran through just north of the "pit" area.  It could be Peoria as there were several large brick buildings just west of the turntable which were serviced off of the Wahlfeld lead or the "Alley lead.   I just called my brother-in-law who was a clerk at Clinton during the late 1960's and he doesn't remember a turntable there.  He also became the sales representative  for the Peoria area and he will dig around the industry records to see if Case had a factory near the Peoria engine house.  Bud Linroth.

Anybody know where this photo was taken?  It's an early 1950 view, and there appears to be a turntable ahead of the 502.  Through the 1940s and until it was sold from scrap in May 1954 the 502 was assigned to the Galesburg Division.  Could this view be at Clinton, Iowa?  This is another of the George Niles photos now up for sale on eBay.  Thanks for any assistance with this.

Hol
