Hi Rupert.

Thanks for the email.  I will send them a message.  I have seen lists of MOW vehicles prior to 1960 and the more I look, the more comfortable I am saying they probably had some 1960 Ford pick ups and/or medium duty stake trucks.  I've also seen Ford stake trucks later than 1960.  My only question would be what color they were painted.  The only 2 colors I've seen are orange or dark green.  Most of the pictures I've seen are the dark green.

I have a 1951 mechanical dept. standard vehicle drawing.  It shows the placement of the herald and lettering for cars and trucks.  It does not indicate vehicle color however.

Jim

Other than inspection vehicles, we’ve had very little in the Bulletins and Zephyrs about the Burlington’s motor vehicle fleet, although I believe “someone” is researching BTL!

Hello Rupert,

I noticed CMW has the 1960 Ford pick up and medium duty trucks as an upcoming model.  From the few pictures of MOW trucks I have not seen one with that style cab.  Again from the few background photos I've seen, I can verify that the MOW fleet had Ford, Chevy and International pick ups and medium duty trucks.  If someone has evidence of these trucks and their unit numbers I do have some official CB&Q MOW truck door blueprints.
