We’ve had a number of posts about the Burlington’s connection with Alaska.  Here’s another one from 1912 –

“Mr. O. L Dickeson, formerly with the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy R.R., and recently Vice-President of the White Pass & Yukon Route, at Vancouver, B. C, has been made President of the latter company. Mr. Dickeson is 34 years old, and is said to be one of the youngest railway presidents. The White Pass & Yukon Route includes the following: Pacific & Arctic Ry. & Nav. Co., British Columbia Yukon Ry. Co., British Yukon Ry. Co., and the British Yukon Navigation Co., Ltd.”

Dickeson was Assistant Superintendent Transportation, Omaha, between 1905 and 1908.
