According to th 1972 BN Annual (which also contains a Hol Wagner photo of the 
engine in BN paint), the locomotive was sold to Naporano Iron & Metal on April 
12, 1972. The photo caption says that it was the only E7 ever painted for BN.

It was highly historic.
