No Problem Charlie,
I have all the BRHS bulletins from #1 to date. I joined back in the 70's when it was a mimeographed newsletter. I will search the BB's for the Aeolus. z

Noel-
I am on the road and cannot look up the issue. The plans were reproduced in the Burlington Route Historical Society's BURLINGTON BULLETIN issue on the AEOLUS (might have been with the Hudson issue; check on the BRHS website for the issue and availability.

Charlie,
You wouldn't perchance know the year and month of the RMC article?
I have several hundred RMC and MR from my HO days.
You are right about the open cab.

Railroad Model Craftsman carried the plans for the Aeolus 4000.
No plans for the 4001 were ever published.
The 4000 had a conventional open cab and small front air intake vents
while the 4001 had a vestibule cab and large air intakes. There were
other slight differences.
Given the need to get to controls in the cab for live steam I'd suggest
the 4000 would be a better choice.
