SD-7'S, SD-9's, GP-7's and GP-9'S were all used from time to time on secondary
trains, branch line trains and passenger extras. The latter included Christmas
mail and express trains and things like the Boy Scout trains to Colorado
Springs.

On Lines West, particularly during the Christmas mail rush, boiler-equipped
SD9s were often used, singly and in pairs, on secondary passenger trains all
through the 1950s and 1960s.

In the diesel era, did the Burlington Route ever use other diesel engines
besides Es and Fs in passenger service?

Thanks
