Ken and all, One aspect of the various photos was that many were shot in succession as a rule on which ever trip Mr Barringer was on. Not always but many times and as the K Line shots show some were southbound and some were northbound so he photographed coming and going. Archie PS Did anyone catch the rock garden art on #144 at the foot of Broadway in Hannibal? Did you notice the letters "HUD" just beside the auto? Hannibal Union Depot. Also pictured is the Wabash Freight House left side and the crossing guard shanty the Wabash manned behind the auto. Rear coach has just trailed through the riverfront park as the train is heading into the HUD. This same park was selected by Mr Murphy for the new union depot the company wanted to build in the late 40s. City fathers turned him down account they may have to expand the power plant you see in the back right. Never happened and that entire plant is a parkinging lot now. This site was perfect account it lay between the Wabash main and the K Line main. No more head in and back out movements. Alas it didn't matter, no more passenger trains Archie ------------------------------------ Yahoo Groups Links <*> To visit your group on the web, go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CBQ/ <*> Your email settings: Individual Email | Traditional <*> To change settings online go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CBQ/join (Yahoo!
