I know for a fact that a parlor car was used in the Northbound EB for a short period of time around 1950 - 51, but not during the winter season.  It is listed in the public timetables.  I'm away from home and I can look it up later, but it was not a  constant thing.  It also seems that the palors were not always used on the TCZ, either.

Can anyone tell me where the parlor cars (Silver Parlor & Silver Chair) were placed in the consists of the Morning and Afternoon Zephyrs? Strauss Vol. 2 says they were used "as needed" and also placed in the northbound Empire Builder. I've combed the standard Q reference books and photos and have never seen a photo of the trains with the parlor cars included.
