Page 100 of Burlington's Zephyrs by Karl Zimmerman has a photo of the Afternoon Zephyr with the parlor car in the consist. I can't tell so much from the photo  (taken from the front of the train) but the caption indicates that the car was at the rear of the train between the diner and the Vista-Dome observation.

Can anyone tell me where the parlor cars (Silver Parlor & Silver Chair) were placed in the consists of the Morning and Afternoon Zephyrs? Strauss Vol. 2 says they were used "as needed" and also placed in the northbound Empire Builder. I've combed the standard Q reference books and photos and have never seen a photo of the trains with the parlor cars included.
