Thanks Bill for confirming what I thought...I have "wracked" my brain over the years trying to remember whether these units had been repainted by this time or not and i just don't remember. Pete

Unit 9962C was one of the three California Zephyr F3 consists (9960 ABC, 9961 ABC, and 9962 ABC). All of the E units had either no suffix, or A or B. None carried a " C " designation. By 1956, the F3 CZ units probably would have been re geared for freight service and painted in the freight paint scheme.
