Hi, Hopefully this is an easy question. Were the number boards on the sides of CB&Q Cuckoo Clock Headlights that were used on steam engines lit? I am building an HO engine and bought Cary headlight castings but the number board area is solid. So if they were lit, I would have to drill them out and make provisions to light. I have seen pictures of Sunbeam headlights with number boards on the sides that are hinged and fold down to allow access to the Headlight bulb but there does not appear to be any light that would get to the number boards?
