On page 44 of the recent book entitled The Burlington Waycar by Randall Danniel, Marian Reis and Joe Douda thee is an Otto Perry photo of a train repairing a washout. In the photo are two gondolas. The right one appears to me to be numbered 71052 (though 71652 is a possibility). I can't read the number of the left hand car. The photo was taken on August 29, 1933. Can anyone tell me anything about the history of these cars? Were they later renumbered? How long did they last?
