The Silver Castle would have used the same 4700 series flat top coach as a starting point - I'd have to wonder if it was any better.  I always wondered why they converted another coach so late in the game when they would probably be better off getting another Budd Dome coach instead.  Remember, the lack of modern flat top coaches was one of the reasons the Q rebuilt the 10 heavweights into SSS coaches around 1953, yet they converted one of the pre-war flat tops to another pattern dome.

Was the Silver Castle any better?  I saw the pattern domes a number of times and have seen pictures of the interior of the Silver Dome but never rode either.
