  I hope there is someone nearby to pass this on and  to tell you to pack your seabag and get the H*LL out of the VA.... Now! If you were a jar head up around Chu Lai in 67/68 you were one of the guys that kept Charlie off my butt. Semper Fi !!! With all my heart. thank you.  I commanded the 563rd Med Clr Company and augment 2nd Surg Hospital MA (MASH) Also replaced the 1st Marine Hospital whenever it moved. Chu Lai, Quang Tri, Dong Ha. Hope you were never in it. Funny, after 23 years being a Doggie, all my friends are Devil Dogs.

On Sept 21 John was in a serious car accident (one day in ICU) and now is at a VA nursing home at Marion, IL for inpatient rehab. (they do let him use email)   Most folks on this list knows John from his mammoth BB on the Q in the Coalfields and his gregarious presence at Meets.  He's also spent time in 'Nam as a Marine infantryman and later served the Corps as an JAG attorney.
